ABOUT ME
My name is Jim Gunzel, a 30-year-old Dutch photographer and digital artist living in Northern Norway. From a young age, I have always been fascinated by both nature and technology.
At the age of 11, I started working with 3D modeling in 3ds Max, creating small assets for video games. Over time, this evolved into architectural visualization work, where I focused on creating detailed renders and digital environments.
During one of these projects, someone recommended that I take up photography to better understand lighting and composition for my renders. What started as a technical exercise quickly turned into something much more photography became a true passion.
Since then, I have worked on a variety of photography and videography projects, combining my technical background with a creative eye. Living in Northern Norway provides me with one of the most spectacular natural environments in the world an unlimited canvas
I love challenges and thrive in demanding environments. I’m an avid outdoor adventurer and also work as an outdoor guide, which allows me to safely bring people into some of the most beautiful and remote landscapes in the north.
Looking for a guide to capture incredible Northern Lights portraits high in the mountains? I’m your man.
